I wore my sweater today. It hugs my torso and reminds me to fall into myself. It reminded me that I deserve to be loved, to be warmed.
Like a pillow fort one makes as a child,
It mutes the outside,
and gives me a chance to focus on within.
The sleeves wrap around my arms, past my wrists. I cling onto the cuffs for comfort.
Reminded that I don’t need to show all of me all the time,
and the thoughts I have are my own. No matter right or wrong.
I struggle to see the yellowing leaves, On the tree with yellowing leaves.
